Common Questions

How do I sign in?

Open the Settings panel (gear icon) and enter your email. We'll send a magic link — no password needed. Click the link in your email to log in instantly.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Sign in first, then open Settings. You'll see options for monthly ($4.99/mo) and yearly ($39/yr) plans. Payment is handled securely through Stripe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In Settings, click "Manage subscription" to open the Stripe Customer Portal. You can cancel anytime — access continues until the end of your billing period.

Where is my data stored?

Free-tier data (notes, timer sessions, settings) is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. Pro users with cloud sync have notes stored securely on our servers. Background images are stored in encrypted cloud storage.

I lost my notes after clearing browser data

Free-tier notes are stored locally in your browser. Clearing browser data will erase them. Upgrading to Pro enables cloud sync to prevent data loss.

The sounds aren't playing

Most browsers require a user interaction before playing audio. Click anywhere on the page first, then try toggling the sound. Also check that your device volume is turned up and not muted.
